Meeting Minutes, April 10, 2022

President Charlie Rohrer called the meeting to order at 1:09 PM and led us in the Pledge of Allegiance. Treasurer Craig Marvill gave the financial report for February and March, The closing balances were $1816.76 and $1039.66 respectively. This led to a discussion about our March 12 banquet at the VE Club. The club billed us for $1402.00 and the members paid in $700.00; in 2019 the VE Club billed us $1400.00 and the members paid in $825.00. President Charlie noted that in order to reduce the financial loss to the club we might want to replace the banquet with a barbeque in the future with members bringing a dish to share; this can be discussed later on this year. Treasurer Craig noted that some members have yet to pay dues for 2022. Since dues are due by the end of March these members are not in good standing with the club and will be removed from the roster this month. Members who wish to remain in the club can mail a check for $25.00 to Craig at 906 Durham Road, Langhorne, PA 19047-5739.

President Charlie noted that he will be working with Dave DeBalko to place an order for our new $20.00 club t-shirts this month. Several members paid for their shirts at the meeting. If anyone would like to order a shirt but hasn’t yet done so, please let President Charlie know at charleschief411@aol.com and mail a check to Treasurer Craig at the address listed above.

President Charlie reported that our tour of Peter Licari’s Carcatcher Museum on March 26 was well-attended with 17 meeting for breakfast beforehand and 25 enjoying a tour of the museum conducted by Mr. Licari himself. Congratulations to Activities Director Joe Fite for arranging our private tour of the museum.
