Meeting Minutes, January 9, 2020
President Charlie Rohrer called the meeting to order at 7:05 PM and lead the Pledge of Allegiance. Treasurer Craig Marvill gave the financial report, opening balance $1439.64. There were three expenses, one a memorial for Brian Rems’ father and two Christmas party-related, totaling $139.39. The ending balance is $1300.25. It was noted that dues, $25.00, are due from each member by the banquet in March; several members renewed their membership at this meeting.
Regarding upcoming events, the Allentown Auto Mania swap meet and car corral is coming up on January 17th through the 19th. It is the largest indoor swap meet in Pennsylvania. Visit www.automaniashows.com for details.
A discussion ensued about our cruise night flyer. It will need to be revised with the change in date from the 3rd Friday to the 2nd Friday of the month. It was also noted that the flyer makes no mention of our website or our food drive.
Regarding our Cool Cars in the School Yard show co-sponsored with the Willow Grove Lions Club, the sponsor form was reviewed. The Roxborough Ridge Runners judging sheet was discussed. Some suggestions included adding bonus condition points on a sliding scale for older cars versus newer cars. Classes are another item we need to decide on. It was decided that more input is sought from our members on a finalized DTRC judging form. It will be an item of discussion at our February meeting. We can conduct judging practice at our April and May cruise nights.
With no further topics raised, President Charlie Rohrer adjourned the meeting at 7:23 PM. Our next meeting will be on Thursday, February 13th 7:00PM at the Edge Hill Fire Company.
